We're excited to announce the launch of tid.al. We've been working under the radar with Condé Nast for almost a year, quietly powering the Teen Vogue Fashion Click and learning what makes great community and great content. Now we're taking our platform to the street. We're announcing the launch of our own site, tid.al, and new partnerships with our friends at Seatgeek and Zagat (well, now GoogleZagat).
We've been gestating for a while, figuring out the best ways to evaluate influence and good content. I mean what is good content anyways? A bit of a deep, existential question. Well we're building tech that's starting to figure that one out. We want to be able to discover the unknowns. The amazing fashionistas in Boise and the farming experts in San Paolo.
This was a big week of content for the ad industry. Outbrain hosted their Marketing with Content panel, with a glorious real time illustrator helping to mind map the discussion. Say Media had some of the top YouTube personalities onstage for How the Internet Killed Mass Market Mediocrity. One of the key panels of the week was Brands as Content/Content as Brands with some of the top minds in content & marketing.
We believe in the convergence of public relations, advertising and media. Luckily we have some great partners that do too. We're crashing with the amazing team at Affect Strategies, one of Silicon Alley's leading tech PR firms. We're excited to be here and will be having a shindig in the next few weeks to showoff our digs.
We think this ranking is actually pretty important. Everyone loves to have lists, ranks. The US News & World Report College rankings just came out. I think that list is the only thing keeping that brand alive. It's been around since '83 and they have been trying to stay alive by bringing those ranking to other categories; hospitals, vacations, cars, diets (?!) but it just doesn't have the same magic.
